Thurso was flat so we travelled me and my mates to a bay; either Sango bay, or a bay around the corner (100yrds). The surf was excellent! 4 - 5ft clean little barrels coming in (even got some on film). Surfed till dark then went home! Great fun!
Sango bay faces north and is quite sheltered. Again really clean water and crowds are unheard of. There are some big rocks in there that you should avoid though, at the east end there looks like a good right. It barrels on low tide.
