I went to Lanzarote about 2 years ago on a beach lifeguard course and managed to get some time off to go surfing. I went towards the 50m swimming on the surfing side of lanzarote. As I went pass through a small town I saw people driving with their surfboards towards the swimming pool but taking a left up a small road. As I followed I saw a small stream that opened out in to the sea. This is where I saw a good 7 feet os surf peeling off for a great right. Perfect wave for me but as many people say you have to look out for the locals they are not to happy where we just come along. As I say I only surfed this wave the 1st and am not sure how often it work's but definitely worth a look.
This is an ultimate quality wave that breaks hard and fast over rock. The rights are short and fun the lefts are fast, sucky, consistent and world class.
You need to respect local surfers here this is a prime spot and no different to Pipeline in Hawaii for lineup order. Respect, friendly attitude will gain you many many waves.
Located 1500 ft below the cliffs of Mirador del Rio, which is the end of Lanzarote... with Isla Graciosa opposite. The views from the area are breath taking to be honest and it feels like surfing Lands End in England.
