Exactly behind the harbour wall there is a good peak when the swell direction is right and big enough but the left just abit round the corner is better, sections a bit but there makable sections watch out for rising or dropping tide because as you reach the corner the wave can suck dry on the reef (we watched a guy only last week get caught out and it cost him five stitches to the nose) enter the water straight in front of the stone monument just around the corner from the harbour it's the safest way.

Wear your boots. This is a lava bottom with urchins. Stay at the Dunas Club, if you're lucky your room will overlook the break. This break works every time I go to Fuerte (unlike Cotillo). Fast and hollow over shallow lava at low tide and mellow longboard waves at high. It can get crowded but the dawn patrol is always quiet.

It is not for someone who is scared to charge strong 4" up to 8" waves. Very enjoyable. Good barrels and fast waves, Excellent improvers wave and also caters for experts.

An amazing slabby break! Worth the trip, I'm definitely gonna go there again (go during that carnival thing, around april 16 everyone is hungover, no crowds!)
