Holywell works well on medium swells at high tide. When its pumping good rides can be caught off the rock stack on the south part of the beach. Be careful of under currents, check it out yourselves.

 Simon Hackett,

An all round good wave, more for the longboard @ the back of the shed, but over all after a long work to the beach and its all worth it!

I went to Holywell bay for my holiday and I had the best time surfing. The water is nice and clean, and the waves are friendly. The beach is very busy, and the lifeguards separate bodyboarders from surfers which is frustrating because the best waves are at the end of the beach where the sufers are. At the end of the beach it produces about 5ft nice waves, lovely to surf. Best go at low to high tide, when it's on the push. Watch out for stinging fish.

It's a good surf to have some fun with, not too crowded, lifeguards around, and a great beach if everything else goes pear-shaped!
