Fairlight sucks. It's a tiny bit better than Hastings but you'll never find the place and when you do you have to climb down a massive cliff! The swell never reaches it. the locals aren't as bad as Hastings but nowhere in the south east welcomes newcomers.
Be prepared to get muddy. The access spot is more of a steep bank than a cliff. Very isolated. There are ropes there to help you get down, but getting back up is a pain in the arse. It is a crap spot, but it's better than a kick in the bollocks!
