Fuck the beach break! That was only alright. If you walk down the beach for about 1km there is an amazing left-hand reef that collects swell from nearly every direction. I was there for 3 weeks and nearly every time I went down to surf this spot it was like being in a computer game the waves were so perfect. But be prepared to surf a few inches above a spikey reef and the locals can get very territorial.

I went at the worst time of year (July). It had mostly onshore winds but did get one great day, loads of crowds but still got some good rides. Very glassy.

A brilliant beach break, on days when there is a lot of swell. Watch it on high tide, the waves can get a bit dumpy. Mid to high tide offers spilling waves and if your lucky you could catch a barrel!
