On a big north swell this is one of the meanest waves I`ve ever seen in Holland. Fast --> Hollow --> dangerously shallow. But I like it. It can be very good, even in on-shores.
Domburg probably has some of the best surf in NL. The Beach is not bad for the North Sea, the Netherlands in general picks up better long period swell than the UK east coast from lows tracking from Scotland to Norway. Domburg can also get swell from the west if the swell is big enough to push through the English channel, but this is rare and can be totally blown out.
At times you can get wind waves, but they are Mushy, think North Wales, tide mid high and pushing, bring a longboard. Timing in Holland is crucial, swells arrive and die fast. Hazards.
1) Temperature. The southern North Sea, February, is about 5 degrees centigrade. That does not factor wind chill 2) Currents can be quite strong, especially as the tide starts to run
