I am a lifeguard down in Ownachincha and surf there everyday. It's the cleanest break you will find in Cork. I advise anyone in Ireland or coming to Ireland to come in. There's plenty of room.
Wicked quick sets. Beats the best of the west coast spots that I've visited this year. In fact I dig this beach so much i'm gonna live on the beach. Inspiring.
Underrated break that can be really nice when cross/offshore and over 3 feet. More mellow than Castlefreak and often deserted by the posers who prefer the crowded antagonism of its nearby neighbour!
