Huge wide strand. Waves can be good. Easy access/park on sand. Watch for hang-gliders landing (Downhill) and escaped prisoners (Foyleside)!

Very inconsistent but with the right winds and pressure systems a good Glassy wave will be formed. Wave height can range from about six to ten feet on its day. Good atmosphere in summer but quite packed, during winter you have great freedom.

This may be biased seeing as this is my home turf but I feel that Benone is a great wave when it's on. Yes it's inconsistent but at least twice every summer and most of winter it pumps out some really gnarly waves. September swells prove to be good and at times a good ten foot in shore and twelve foot offshore can be found. Advice, wear a winter suit or suffer.

Have enjoyed an epic glassy few days on this Break, however I do live nearby and most of the time its line after line of Froth and Slop.

Downhill refers to the eastern most section of the beach where it can be a bit rocky in places. There are toilet facilities here.
