Generally tends to reflect more that of a lake during the year as opposed to a surfing beach. For this reason I suggest that people only check it out during stormier conditions, even then identifiable waves can be non existent!!

If Ardmore isn’t working try Whiting bay 3km west as it's more often working although it does tend to dump a bit at high tide.

There's a good left under the cliffs at Ballyquin about 4km east of Ardmore. It needs good groundswell and a northeast wind.
