This break is class. I don’t know why it only got 2/5. We have surfed this break at 7-8ft, it can hold any swell and the good thing is that it’s offshore on a westerly. It has a really long left which can really hollow out.

It needs a huge swell to break. When it works it is a fat longish left. Only a winter break.

Overrated and has a few Mayo lads getting super territorial there recently.

Try surfing it on a big northerly, not to be underrated.

One of the three best waves in Ireland on about 3 days per year, no doubt. The swell needs to be closing out the whole of Easkey to bother driving.

This wave switches on at 6ft+, then it becomes a serious wave. At 8 -10ft (triple overhead) it can throw a hell barrel and if you can navigate the bowl section at the end you will rember this wave for along time. Not for beginners at size as long hold downs and bouncing off kelp encrusted boulders are common as well as strong currents and long paddles. Enjoy and pull in.
