REVIEWS

I surfed this wave in the early 90's but it won't have changed (except for the crowds). We caught a monster swell which fired 4 or 5 different peaks on the main beach and a reef at the right hand side of the beach a mile or so from Somo town. The reef is where it's at but was too big when I surfed the break (12ft ish) the local hell man surfed it on his 8ft muscle gun. The beach is a quick wave but tends to close out on the lower tidal stages and is best at mid. The nightlife was probably the worst I've ever experienced (think school disco). Locals were super friendly but then that was before I went there!
