I used to live above this beach and it rarely breaks. It needs a massive NW to get going and is probably only worth checking if Sopelana is completely closed out. Even then it is a very fat long board wave, but it does give a long ride when breaking. Watch out for very suspect water quality as it is the river mouth - I'm sure surfing this spot is what started my hair falling out.
