This beach is about as useful for surfing on, as a lightbulb is for making a room dark. Yes, there are waves but only a midget with a foamer could ride the waves in La Concha, with difficulty at that. El pico del loro is probably the most likely place you can find a wave on that stretch. I suggest if you're there, walk west along the beach toward the beach of Ondaretta, and at high tide, if you're lucky you may get a wave in with the locals. In winter here you need a wetsuit, I almost got pneumonia without one.
