Just got back from a trip here at the start of winter......mate, this wave is HEAVY. The truth is, I never surfed the place, just watched from my apartment with some mates, screaming and hooting as wave after wave came through, unloading its power over the reef, with barrels big enough to fly a helicopter through. This place looks damn well psycho. I have to change my underwear just looking at it. I'm pretty sure this is the place that we've seen on TV lately for a big wave tow in event. One thing's for sure - i'm sticking to the beaches and reefs that aren't going to kill me or snap my spine. Nonetheless - it is fun to look at and laugh at the hapless kooks being drilled deep deep down to the bottom of the ocean....
