Sandymouth has no wave until low tide and then goes nicely. Crowds are a problem at weekends.

An excellent break but gets a bit crowded in the summer. It picks up a lot swell so good on small days. Good sand banks on the left. Although gets a strong cross rip when it’s big.

Sandymouth has one of the best breaks in the Bude area and is my local break. It works well in lots of conditions but has strong currents and a deadly shore break at high tide along with a strong rip pulling you over to the right, but well worth the trip.

I went to Sandymouth on the hottest day when everywhere was flat, and the surf was 2-3ft clean as you like. There was about three people in not including the guys I went with and there was no sign of any crowds. The surf was awesome. It's a real fun wave to play on with the longests rides especially with a longboard at low tide. I didnt notice any rips but I noticed the rocks when I came face to face with them. It has to have the best quality water in England by far. I recommend it to the world.
