This is heavy as hell and is a frequent board snapper.

This wave is insane, I surfed it a few times in the summer and was out one morning with very few other surfers and the conditions were insane!!! 5 foot barrels grinding off the sand bar resulting with right hand walls of spit. The wave is super heavy and surfing a 9 foot mal over a foot of water can result with a broken stick. I have seen a sponger put into casualty due to a severe wipeout when surfing the sick shorebreak at hightide. This clearly puts an emphasis on this wave.

I couldn't agree more with the above reviews. You risk getting torn limb from limb just on the paddle out. Definitely a spot for the experienced but worth a visit just to put some hairs on your chest and say you had a go! I recommend checking out the superbly detailed maps chalked up by the lifeguards showing sandbars, rips etc.

I've been 2 this sexy little spot every autum for 4 years now and every time I've nearly drowned at least once! Beware of the suck back when it's sucking dry, leaving the impact zone can be some what troublesome!
