This one is a corker. Lots of steps to climb down mind you. When I was there the swell was huge but the waves were perfect to ride as this beach is a kind of cove so it's protected by the south westerlys.
I have been riding this wave for the past 9 years and it is without doubt one of the best waves in the Algarve particularly when the swell is just right. I've met numerous friends at this beach which if approached in the right manner can be extremely friendly in the line up. The Portugeause are some of the friendliest surfers that I have met anywhere in the world.
This is a cracking left hander and can get really big. When it does, watch for the rip that tries to drag you into the caves on the right side of the beach.
