REVIEWS

Best on a northerly groundswell when the tide is 1m or below. Nigg is a fickle wave which closes out nine times out of ten. Ocassionally it can break in a fast pocket for 100 yards, it holds around 6ft and is good fun when the peak is not crowded. Hazards? the main sewage plant which deals with waste from 200,000 people is situated here and at the south end discoloured water flows into the bay, run off from the Tullos refuse dump.

The water is real nasty, due to the sewage works. Gets pretty whumpy at times too!
