This is place has the best right hand river mouth break in the uk when it's working. I scored it 8-10ft stand up barrels like impossibles at J-Bay amazing!
Torrisdale Bay is just the other side of Farr Bay and is a rivermouth break. It is a bit more exposed than Farr Bay but the set up is pretty good. Bit difficult to find - just out of Bettyhill towards Tongue turn right just before the sharp left bend and follow a road which eventually swings over a small hill which takes you to the break...
A large bay facing north. I caught it on a large north westerly swell. The east end was huge but got smaller further west towards the river mouth. A real nice spot with a shipwreck on the beach.
Got access by driving to Torrisdale and paddled accross the river
I loved this place. Middle of nowhere, stunning scenery, paddle down the river into the break, cyrstal clear water. The rights on the right hand side of the river were firing. We only got it 4ft, but can't imagine how good it could get....
