Last time I surfed here it had a great left breaking from the mouth of the cave at high tide. It faces west so it picks up swell when Thurso is flat. It is sheltered so it works if other spots are blown out and normally breaks left and right at high tide. A longboard wave.

Lovely spot. Park at the B and B in Bettyhill (18 quid a night there) and walk over the dunes to the beach. Found it worked best on mid to high tide but at full high it turned into a bit of a shore dump. The tourist information office does food and the hotel up the hill does beer.
