An almost secret spot due to the long walk across the nature reserve. Sker is a 2 to 3 mile long beach north of Rest Bay. The Rocks of Sker point form an excellent point break and the wave is usually far superior to Rest Bay and the other local breaks.
Can be great but also grim, a great wave when Rest Bay is about 2 foot with no wind, but like every beach in wales it gets blown out and messy on a big swell.
It is quite a good beech. The see tastes like poo due to pollution but you get used to it. Knowbody knows about the sker on the otherside of the rocks.
Always seems to be better than rest, may just be halucinations following the mammoth walk. no, worth the walk when you get there, even if it is a bit spooky.
I dont no how you can call Sker a secret spot due to the large cheese factory which is at view from rest bay. The water in sker is slightly tangy because of this and id say that this cheese polution is a hazard as it really does smell.
