North Bay has its choice of peaks on its day and has a really relaxed mellow feel with friendly locals and plenty of seals. No go at high tide because of the sea wall. A hot chocolate from the roadside cafe is a damn good alternative to a pasting!
The photo below is Pete Britton on the left at the south end of Scarboroughs North Bay. This is accessed by a tunnel under the road, onto the rocks and a quick jump into the kelp. This was a small day, but this will get real good in the right conditions.
Just learning to surf and enjoying every bit of it. Scarborough has some great waves on its good days, but also has a few rocks, but they dont bother me too much. A great place to learn with friendly surf/skate shops around. A great day out for every one!!
